Revised Zoning Ordinance Fails

A special Lake County Election held on Tuesday, March 15th to approve or reject revisions to the county zoning ordinance had low voter turnout.

With ballots cast by only 12 percent of those registered to vote in the county, the 812 'No' votes was an overwhelming majority to the 224 'Yes' votes. Therefore the current zoning ordinance will remain in effect.
