Nominations Open for Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s Above and Beyond Citizens Award

Senator John Thune is encouraging South Dakotans to submit nominations for the Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s Above and Beyond Citizens Award. The award recognizes civilian Americans who have put “Service before Self” through a singular act of heroism or a continued commitment to putting others before themselves. The Medal of Honor Society will select one finalist from South Dakota and every other state and then choose three citizens to receive the Above and Beyond Award during a nationally televised ceremony on March 25, 2008.

Nominations for the Above and Beyond Citizen Award can be submitted by filling out an online nomination form at aboveandbeyond365-dot-com.
