South Dakota State University President David Chicoine says there are several key legislative items they’ll be working on this coming session.
The Regents had been pushing for a 75-million dollar bonding plan to upgrade science labs on the six campuses. The governor’s proposal isn’t quite what they asked for.
Chicoine says the Board of Regents will be discussing it at their meeting today in Madison.
The governor is backing a plan to provide high-speed broadband access to the state’s universities. Chicoine says that’s vital.
The Board of Regents meets today at the Mundt Library at Dakota State University.
