Lake County Sheriff's Dept. Looking for Hit and Run Suspect

The Lake County Sheriff’s Department is asking for help in locating a vehicle that sideswiped another vehicle early this morning. It happened at about 7:46 A.M. on South Dakota Highway 34 East of Winfred in the Vermillion Hills. It was reported that a Full size vehicle was traveling East on SD Highway 34, partially in the West bound lane of traffic, and struck a White Chevy Trailblazer that was traveling West on SD Highway 34. Moderate damage was done to the Trailblazer with transfer from the other vehicle. Driver of the trailblazer describes the vehicle as a Full Size pickup possibly extended cab darker in color, possibly brown. Sheriff’s Deputy Tim Walburg says the pickup has driver side damage to the front and possibly down the drivers side of the vehicle.
