Advisory: Holiday weekend Outlook looking good but cooler weather is expected starting Friday. Think Safety!

It is easy to forget that we are moving into the winter months with the recent weather conditions. Our area is breaking records that were set in 1973 for being the warmest for this time of the year. Do expect some changing temperatures on Friday morning as a front moves through the area. Highs for Thursday are currently projected to be around 53 and breezy. Fridays highs will only be around 33.

Use caution during this holiday weekend. An above average number of travelers are expected for this weekend. Consider travelling with your headlights on so that you can be seen during the day. Use extreme caution when preparing your meals. Most residential fires occur during this holiday. A large number of these fires are associated with Turkey fryers.

Friday will be a busy and long day for many shoppers. Allow that extra time needed to travel safely and make sure you dress warm. Temperatures will drop to 27 degree by Friday morning and it is expected to be breezy.
