Deadline Nears for Mayor and School Board Candidates

Nominating petitions for Madison's Mayor and three open school board seats are due February 22nd. A joing elections for these positions will be held April 9, 2013.

Currently three people have filed their petitions for mayor. They include Roy Lindsay, Myron Moen, and Dale Davis. Mayor Gene Hexom has stated he does not plan to run again.

Five people have currently filed their petitions for three-year terms on the Madison Central School Board. Incumbent board members Tom Farrell and Ryan Hegg, as well as Charles Moore, Rick Reyes, and Susan Berry have all filed petitions to run for the three open seats on the school board this year. The current board members whose terms expire this year are Farrell, Hegg, and Paul Weist.

All nominating petitions for mayor must be returned to the City's Finance Office by February 22nd. All nominating petitions for school board must be returned to the school district's business office by February 22nd.
