Advisory: URGENT: Winter Warning in effect - anticipate dangerous road conditions and power outages into Thursday.

Road Conditions are poor and additional precipitation is moving into the area. Several areas are experiencing power outages due to the icing of the power lines.
There is a wide range of different conditions going on so be prepared for rapid changing conditions.

WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM CDT THURSDAY...

TIMING...PERIODS OF SNOW WILL OCCUR THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT WITH SOME OF THE HEAVIEST LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. SOME SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN MAY MIX IN WITH THE SNOW TONIGHT. THE SNOW WILL GRADUALLY DECREASE LATE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT.

ACCUMULATIONS...SIGNIFICANT ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS AVERAGING 6 TO 10 INCHES SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 90 AND 8 TO 12 INCHES NORTH OF INTERSTATE 90 THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

WIND AND VISIBILITY...NORTHERLY WINDS WILL AVERAGE 20 TO 30 MPH TODAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY. THIS WILL CAUSE WIDESPREAD BLOWING SNOW THROUGH WEDNESDAY REDUCING VISIBILITY TO LESS THAN ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES.

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO EXPECTED. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.
