Advisory: Flooding potential increasing in the Lake County area start taking precautions

With the new snow and projected rains coming, everyone needs to take some precautionary measures to prepare for some potential flooding.

Make sure that sump pumps are in working order and piped outside. People in flood prone areas need to check basements frequently and remove items from their basements that they do not want to have damaged.

Check down spouts on your homes to ensure they are free of debris and draining away from the foundations.
