Four Madison Elementary Educators Retire

With the close of the 2012-2013 school year tomorrow, Tuesday, May 21st comes the completion of four careers in education at the Madison Elementary School.

• Principal Dan Walsh will retire from Madison Elementary School after 47 years as an educator and administrator with the district.

• Physical Education instructor and tennis coach Doug Sims will be retiring after teaching and coaching for 40 years, including 38 years in the Madison Central School District.

• Jill Stearns has taught in Madison since 1983 and will complete her 33rd year of teaching with her final 2nd grade class on Tuesday.

• Cindy Ellsworth has taught in many grades over the years and will retire after her 9th year teaching 3rd grade.
