Four Madison Elementary Educators Retire

With the close of the 2012-2013 school year tomorrow, Tuesday, May 21st comes the completion of four careers in education at the Madison Elementary School.

Principal Dan Walsh will retire from Madison Elementary School after 47 years as an educator and administrator with the district.

Physical Education instructor and tennis coach Doug Sims will be retiring after teaching and coaching for 40 years, including 38 years in the Madison Central School District.

Jill Stearns has taught in Madison since 1983 and will complete her 33rd year of teaching with her final 2nd grade class on Tuesday.

Cindy Ellsworth has taught in many grades over the years and will retire after her 9th year teaching 3rd grade.
