Yard Waste Collection Discontinued in Madison

The City of Madison offers a free yard waste drop-off site on the east side of the city on 456th Avenue. It is located just to the north of Highway-34 and the Waste Water Treatment Plant. The site is open year-round for grass clippings, garden waste, branches and other yard-waste items.

There were very few Madison residents utilizing the yard waste collection that the city offered. Due to the low number of participants, the program was costing the city more to maintain than any income that it generated and therefore the service has been discontinued.
