Water Treatment Plant Equipment Replacement

Starting July 14, 2014, the City of Madison is replacing the chemical feed equipment at the Water Treatment Plant. The equipment being updated adds lime during the treatment process to reduce the hardness level in water.

      Although this water will continue to be safe for consumption the water will be harder than normal and may require more detergent in laundry, may make coffee taste different, or shampoo to not lather as much, etc.  

      The replacement process may take up to 5 days.  Please be patient with us during this upgrade.
