City Commission Meeting Today

A new speed limit on the Airport Road will be up for discussion during the Madison City Commission meeting tonight at 5:30 at the Madison City Hall. Commissioners will consider a new 45 mph speed limit on the Airport Road that runs from N.E. 5th street to N.E. 15th street, also know as 456th avenue.

In new business, the Commissioners will review their engineering agreement with Banner Associates Inc. of Brookings for services at the municipal water treatment plant.

The commission will also discuss the city's 2008 election schedule and review personnel changes, acknowledge a city employee wage schedule for January 2008, adopt a legal newspaper, and appoint the city's financial depositories and review license applications.
