Private Applicator Training Starts Today
Posted on Tuesday, January 8, 2008
It may be early January, but there are still a lot of issues for area farmers to keep in mind. Moody and Lake County Extension Agronomist Paul Johnson reminds producers it's important to protect your crop all year long.
Also, private applicator training sessions are being offered by SDSU Extension, beginning today. A Private Applicator Certification is required to apply both general and restricted use pesticides, and to purchase restricted use pesticides.
Training sessions will be held today at 1pm at the Flandreau Extension building. Thursday at the Howard Courthouse at 1pm, and at the Madison Extension building at 6:30pm.
If you attend on of the 3 hour training sessions you need to bring a government issued photo ID, and your 911 address, which includes the nine digit zip code.
