Sioux Valley Energy Scholarships

Sioux Valley Energy is offering $12,000 worth of scholarship money to seniors and others who are attending an institution of higher education for the first time. The scholarship amounts will range from $500 to $1,000 each.

The majority of scholarship funds come from Operation Round Up, with additional monies from Basin Electric Power Cooperative and L&O Power Cooperative.

To qualify, an applicant must be a Sioux Valley Energy customer or a dependant of a customer, plan to attend an accredited college, or vocational-technical school this fall, have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA, and provide a written recommendation from a teacher, administrator or counselor.

The deadline for this years competition is 4:30 P.M. on Friday, Feb. 1, 2008. Applications can be sent to: Sioux Valley Energy, Scholarship Contest, P.O.
