Madison Finishes 2nd in State Golf Tournament

The SD State Class A Girls Golf Tournament took place at the Madison Country Club in Madison, SD on May 18th and 19th.

The Bulldogs earned 2nd place in the tournament with a final score of 778. Parkston took 1st place with a 731, winning their 4th straight championship.

Sixteen teams competed in the tournament finishing in the following order: Parkston, Madison, Mobridge-Pollock, Vermillion, West Central, SF Christian, Canton, Lead-Deadwood, Belle Fourche, Hot Springs, Winner Area, Groton Area, Sisseton, Sioux Valley, Aberdeen Roncalli, and Wagner.

For Madison, Samantha Langford finished 3rd place individually in the tournament with a 169. Sydney Gustaf tied for 12th shooting a 191. Taylor Bird shot a 208 for 33rd place followed closely by Mariah Palmquist's 210 for 36th place. Emily Knuths earned 62nd place with a 231.
