ANNOUNCING New Electric Utility Director Brad Lawrence

The City of Madison would like to announce the hiring of Brad Lawrence as their new Electric Utility Director. Lawrence will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Dennis Poppen after 40 years of service with the City.

Lawrence, 52, grew up in Pierre and Fort Pierre, graduating from Stanley County High School. He also holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. He brings with him 17 years of experience as the Public Utilities Director at Fort Pierre, SD and he looks forward to immersing himself in the City of Madison community.
