One Act Play Contests Held Today

It's a day of theater at the Dakota Prairie Play House in Madison today. Several High Schools; including Madison, Deubrook Area, Flandreau, Howard, McCook Central, and Milbank, will present their One-Act plays at the Region four contest.

Judges will send what they believe are the top two plays onto the State One-Act Play Festival, January 31st through February 2nd at Northern State University in Aberdeen.

Other Regional contest to include the Region III-A contest at the Jeschke Fine Arts Center in Sioux Falls. Baltic, Dell Rapids Public, Garretson, Sioux Falls Christian, and Tri-Valley will compete there.

Canton, Harrisburg, Lennox, Parker, and Tea Area compete in the Region Two Contest in Brandon. Chester Area, Colman-Egan, Freeman Academy, Irene-Wakonda, Montrose, and Rutland present plays at the One-B contest in Brandon Thursday.
