City Commission Approves Abatement

The Madison City Commission approved an abatement for property taxes at last nights meeting. The abatement covers four lots of Liberty Avenue the city purchased in 2007. The tax for that land is expected to be 2-hundred and forty dollars. The City of Madison is considered exempt from property taxes.

Also last night the commissioners approved the January building report, and approved some additions to personal.

The Madison City Commission meets Monday's at 5:30 at Madison City Hall.
