While South Dakota legislators slog through property tax reform proposals, a conservative tax watch dog group is being very critical of their efforts.
The state house approved a bill that would eliminate the 150 percent rule, and base taxes on Ag land productivity.
Duane Sand, state director of Americans for Prosperity says the bill that passed is not a good one.
Sand says HB1005, the bill that passed, is shortsighted, and could lead to an income tax.
