The Madison Central School District will continue to look at a different high school schedule. That was the decision made at Monday nights school board meeting. Superintendent Vince Schaefer will organize a committee made up of teachers from the High School, Middle School , and Elementary School, as well as community members and students. Madison has used the Trimester schedule for the last ten years.

Also Monday Schaefer told the school board The Department of Labor will no longer provide funding for alternative schools, like Madison's AIM High. Schaefer said there are plans underway that would create a new kind of alternative school in Madison with the help of other districts.
