Madison Commission Meets Tonight

Another step towards a new church expected to be taken tonight at the Madison City Commission weekly meeting. The board will be asked to acknowledge a conditional use permit for Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and set a date for a hearing on the matter. The church is looking to purchase the old Job Service building at 120 South West 2nd street.

Also today the board is expected to authorize Mayor Hexom to sign an agreement with the State of South Dakota for stop sign maintenance, review bids on Maloney Bridge, and surplus property for the Electric Department, and approve the specs on a new pickup for the Electrical Department.

The Madison City Commission meeting begins at 5:30 today at Madison City Hall.
