School District Looking at Building Problems

The Madison High School has been around since 1965, a long time for any building, especially one that has hundreds of users everyday. Given that wear and tear, school officials would like to know if there are any structural concerns to worry about. Superintendent Vince Schaefer says the School District will be seeking some professional opinions.

And Schaefer says the district is already seeing problems with the Middle School Building. That building, constructed in the mid 90's, already is having problems with its roof. Schaefer says finding the money for such repair projects is difficult. That money usually come from the capitol outlay fund, but that fund is being used to pay for the new elementary school.
