Local Entrepreneur up for Business Award

A local entrepreneur has a chance to win a major South Dakota Award. The South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently announced 16 new business ventures as the qualifiers for the 2008 Governor's Giant Vision Business Awards. Among the nominees is Madison native Mike Vetter, for his Sioux Falls based DataSync.

The 16 businesses now move on the next level of competition, Tuesday April 8th at the Sioux Falls Washington Pavilion. There the winner will be awarded the top prize of 20-thousand dollars.

The Governor's Giant Vision Awards were created to promote South Dakota as a great place to start successful businesses. The April 8th event will also highlight existing businesses throughout the state, with the ABEX Awards in Business Excellence. An afternoon trade show is held at the Pavilion as part of the April 8th program. That trade show is open to the public.
