Rumors Suffers Late Night Break In

A local businesses suffered an early morning break-in last week. At 4:54 Friday morning someone used a crowbar to break through the front window of Rumors in downtown Madison. Store owner Mark Jahnke said the perpetrators stole both of the store cash registers, and a number bottles of alcohol. They also attempted to take Rumors big screen TV, destroying it in the process. Jahnke said the estimated total loss from damaged or stolen items was about $8,500.

The Madison Police Department is investigating the incident.
