DSU Dealing With Students Loss

Dakota State University in Madison is mourning the loss of a well know member of the student senate. 24 year old Lance Parliment was killed in when the car he was driving collided with a bus east of highway 34 in Madison. The accident occurred shortly before ten o'clock Wednesday morning. DSU president Dr. Douglas Knowlton said parliament will be missed, and the entire community holds his family in our thoughts and prayers.

Jona Schmidt is the Dakota State University director of public information, she says Lance was involved in the Choir and recently served as a student marshal at the DSU winter commencement.

Schmidt says Any student, faculty or staff member who may feel the need to visit with someone can contact Keith Bundy in the Student Development office. A campus memorial service will be planned in the next few days.
