The Highway Patrol says the driver of a car killed in a collision with a tour bus near Madison did not have a valid driver's license. The patrol says that 24-year-old Lance Parliament of Sioux Falls had a revoked and suspended license. His record includes several violations in Lake and Minnehaha Counties, including careless and reckless driving. Parliament grew up in Sioux Falls, graduated from Lincoln High School and was attending Dakota State University in Madison. The Patrol says his car drifted into the path of the bus, which ended up on its side. Most of the 55 passengers and driver were injured.
