Madison Commission Approves Division Avenue Project

The City of Madison is an official Tree City USA again in 2008. That news was presented in the form of a letter, to the Madison City Commission on Monday. The Tree City USA Program recognizes communities that have proven their commitment to an effective ongoing community forestry program. A flag, to acknowledge Madison's involvement with the program, will be presented to the City on Thursday April 24th.

The City Commission also approved the specifications for the Division Avenue Project. That project will be a sewer and street construction from 1st street south to Maplewood.

Also Monday, the Mayor was authorized to sign an application for an Economic Development Association grant for the Industrial Park. The grant is worth $650,000.
