Canvassing Board Will Meet Tonight

The Madison City Commission will get an early start on a busy schedule today. The Commission will meet as a Canvassing Board today, to make official the election results from last Tuesday's city election.

Tonights Canvassing Board however will not necessarily put an end to the election process. Because the margin of victory for Monica Campbell on Tuesday was just one vote over Scott Delzer, Delzer will have five days to request a recount. If a recount is requested, Campbell and Dick Ericsson, the winners of the election, will each choose one person to represent them in the recount. Delzer would also select a representative, and those three people would conduct a recount of all ballots.

Tonights Canvassing Board will being at 5:25pm.
