Commission Approves Comprehensive Plan

The Madison City Commission gave final review to the new Comprehensive Plan at Monday's meeting. Members of Ulteig (ull-tag) Engineering, who helped develop the plan, appeared before the commission to answer any final questions. Commissioners approved the Comprehensive Plan as it was presented.

Also Monday, Jeff Heinemeyer informed the commission that Scott Delzer submitted a petition for a recount of the April 8th city election last Friday. Three people will make up the recount board. One person will be chosen by each candidate involved; Dick Ericsson, Monica Campbell, and Scott Delzer. They will meet on Saturday April 26th at 11:00 am, in the Commission room at Madison City Hall. They could choose to recount by hand all the ballots at that time. If the recount board decides to use the ballot machine, they will meet again at another time to conduct the recount.
