Commission Will Take Up Rental Ordinance Today
Posted on Monday, April 28, 2008
The Madison City Commission will give a second reading to an ordinance that would require all rental units in Madison to be registered. The first reading of the ordinance two weeks ago brought out several concerned property owners. Many of those who attended the first reading of the ordinance expressed fears that the list of units would be used to conduct inspections.
Also at today's City Commission meeting, commissioners will review the bids for the Aquatic Center, as well as adopt new Indoor-Outdoor Pool City Recreation Guidelines.
The Madison City Commission meeting begins at 5:30 pm today in the commission room at Madison City Hall.
