Commissioners Award Bid for Outdoor Pool Construction

The Madison City Commission held it's weekly meeting Monday night. Commissioners awarded the bid for the Outdoor Pool construction project to Sunkota Construction, Incorporated. Sunkota bid the total construction cost at $2,963,500.
In other business, the Commission acknowledged ordinance's 1458, and 1459 on Monday. Those ordinance would make a number of changes to the Cities zoning policy, including rezoning the Rosebud property in downtown Madison from an industrial zone to a general business zone.
Also last night commissioners adopted new Indoor Outdoor Pool, and City Recreation guidelines, and gave second reading to ordinance 1457. That ordinance would require all rental units in Madison to be registered with the city.
Monday's meeting was the final scheduled meeting for Commissioners Jerry Johnson, and Mechele Nordberg. Dick Ericsson will fill one of the two vacated seats and the winner of today's card drawing will fill the other seat.
