Delzer's King Trumps Campbell

The King of Hearts is the winner! In an election tie that had to be broken by drawing cards, Scott Delzer drew a King of Hearts to Monica Campbells Jack of Clubs, and will fill one of the two seats being vacated on the Madison City Commission.

The April 8th City Election left Monica Campbell with 506 votes, and Scott Delzer with 505. A recount found that one ballot cast in Ward-1 was, for some reason, not counted by the tabulating machine. That one ballot gave Scott Delzer and Dick Erickson one more vote. That pushed Ericksons total to 710, and tied Delzer with Campbell at 506.

Ericsson and Delzer will be sworn in as Madisons newest Commissioners at the May 5th meeting.
