Madison Receives Huge Federal Grant!

South Dakota Senator Tim Johnson today announced that the City of Madison will receive a $411,435 federal grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the Madison Municipal Airport.

The grant will fund the installation of an automated weather observing system and an environmental assessment necessary for analyzing the potential impacts of a new taxiway. Additionally, the grant will fund an update to Madison Municipal Airports master plan, which will allow for development that meets the needs of the airport while complying with FAA regulations.
