Ballfield Light Project Looks Good

Chris Giles' request for city help in funding the lighting project for diamonds 1, 2, 4 and 5 at Baughman field garnered much needed favorable support from the Madison City Council last night.
The sixty-two thousand dollar project would go a long way toward keeping teams from moving to other communities where evening and night games can already be played.
Commissioner Karen Lembke called the project a WIN-WIN deal for Madison, citing increased city revenue by hosting tournaments, which would bring an influx of visitors to town.
Further discussion was tabled until the May 27th commission meeting.
