School Board Considering Violent Acts Insurance
Posted on Tuesday, May 13, 2008
During an unusually busy session of the Madison School Board last night, a proposal was considered for obtaining violent acts insurance.
The policy would add an additional fifteen hundred dollars per year to the premium and would cover intentional acts of violence to two or more victims excluding the perpetrator; however the policy would not cover threats. The maximum limit for this coverage is one million dollars with individual coverage set at twenty five thousand dollars per person.
The district's current policy does not cover violent acts.
