With gas prices soaring and no relief in sight, people can help themselves by insuring that their vehicles are running properly. Joel Husher is the Service Director for Prostrollos Auto Mall, and he told KJAM that making sure your vehicles fuel and air filter are changed regularly as this affects how your car breathes and receives fuel to the carburetor. Also, keeping the correct tire pressure in your tires can mean a 1% increase in gas mileage. But Husher said the most important factor is aggressive driving, stating that speed consistency as well as lowering average driving speeds is a major factor.
Husher finished by stating that over the long haul, these combined efforts can save plenty of pennies per gallon!
