Governor Dedicates POW/MIA Flags

In a short but emotionally charged ceremony yesterday at the Valley Springs Rest Area, Governor Mike Rounds spoke briefly of the fact that those protected sometimes don't fully understand the price paid by some so that others can live free. This was followed by a short statement from Mitch, a former P47 pilot from WWII who was shot down over Germany and spent 4 months in Stalog 7.

The ceremony was attended by many war veterans and included a flyover by the Air National Guard F-16s.
