City Commission Approves Infrastructure Improvement Plan

Last evening the Madison City Commission unanimously approved an Infrastructure Improvement Plan to be adopted over the next 5 years. City Engineer Chad Comes stated that over the 5 year period, the City Engineer, Planning Commission and the Public Works Department would meet to work out the kinks in the present plan.
In other commission news, the mayor was authorized by the commission to sign both an FAA grant Agreement as well as an agreement with the state of South Dakota concerning the airport grant. The federal share of this will be $395,000.00, while the state will contribute $7240.00, with the city share coming in at $10,060.
