Madison Kiwanis Has New President

A new president was sworn in during yesterdays weekly meeting of the Madison Kiwanis Club. Matt Hendrickson will be replacing Joann Wheeler whose one year term has expired. Hendrickson has been a member of Madisons Kiwanis Club for a year and a half, and looks forward to continuing the excitement of helping children and the community through the programs offered by the organization.

Hendrickson hopes that by getting their name out into the community, that could bring more members to the club.

Though Kiwanis already supports a number of programs throughout the community, Hendrickson says he hopes a program can be established by the club that people will hear about, and know that it is a part of the Kiwanis Clubs efforts.

In addition to Hendricksons position, a number of other positions have switched around within the club. Penni Groce and Steve Snyder were sworn in to the Board of Directors, meanwhile, Bob Oas (ah-s), Carvel Johnson, and Charlie Stoneback are stepping down from the board. Peg Stoneback is stepping down from her position as Secretary and former President Joann Wheeler will step in. Becky Halma will now take the position of President-Elect.
