Dakota State University has confirmed Jeff Dittman has stepped down as the head Women's Basketball coach at Dakota State University. Dittman is accepting a position at Hastings College in Nebraska as the head women's basketball coach.
Dittman began coaching at DSU in 1993 and has the most wins by any head coach at Dakota State with 245 victories. He is second in career winning percentage, behind Judy Dittman, and has led the Lady T's to the post-season eleven of the past 12 seasons.
Most recently, D-S-U won it's third straight Dakota Athletic Conference regular season title. The team has also qualified for the NAIA National Tournament six of the last nine years, reaching the Elite Eight in 2000 and 2006. The team has also been ranked in the NAIA top-20 ten of the past twelve years.
Dittman will replace former coach Tony Hobson at Hastings. Ironically, DSU is slated to play Hastings at the Morningside College Classic on November 1st in Sioux City, Iowa.
