Last night Brooking's Mayor Scott Munsterman addressed the Madison City Commission concerning the I-29 Economic Development Project. Munsterman told commissioners the strategic intent of the project is to strengthen community relations in order to understand and address regional needs as well as connecting people to resources in South Dakota. Munsterman went on to say that 50% of the state's population lives within 60 miles of I-29.
In other commission news, 5 transformers were declared as surplus property and specs on the restricted use site cell construction were approved. A bid letting date was set for 1:30PM on July 17, 2008.
