DSU Enrollment Up

Between 2006 and 2007 enrollment at Dakota State University in Madison has rose from 2-thousand 439 to 2-thousand 570 students. That’s a 5-point-4-percent increase. DSU officials attribute the growing numbers and strength of the institution to the increase in the need for highly educated information technology professionals as well as teachers who understand the new role of technology in the teaching and learning environment. DSU recently signed a new transportation agreement with Prairie Coach Trailways. As a part of the contract, Prairie Coach Trailways is equipping its entire fleet with the hardware necessary to support WIFI accessibility, allowing DSU student athletes and coaches to remain connected to campus while they are on the road. The state’s public universities have all seen record setting enrollment this year. DSU remains larger than both the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and Northern State University.
