South Dakota law requires all people under the age of 18 to be buckled up at all times.

South Dakota law requires all front-seat passengers to be buckled up at all times.

Drivers can be ticketed if children and youth are not properly restrained.

Children under five years of age and under 40 pounds are required to use an approved child-safety seat.
