Drug and Alcohol Free Teen Dance to be Held in Madison

Richard Carmody doesn’t want other parents to go through what he did with his 17-year-old son. Carmody recently received a phone call from Beadle County Sheriff’s authorities that said his son had been arrested for what Carmody calls “being lost in the underground”, a world of drugs like marijuana, and cocaine. That’s why Carmody is rallying together with local businesses in the Madison community, to hold a drug and alcohol free teen dance. Carmody says, no matter where you look, drugs are out there. Carmody says he hopes that holding the dance will give the kids in the community something to do, rather than drugs or alcohol. The dance will be held at the downtown Madison Armory on Friday, October 26th.
