Madison Teens Busted For $20,000.00 Crime Spree

A pair of teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, are accused of more than a dozen burglaries in Madison and rural Lake County after a nearly six-month crime spree.
The boys, are accused of 14 burglaries in which they stole a broad range of items to include electronic equipment, alcohol, an ATV, food and tools, Walburg said. The stolen goods are still being inventoried, with an estimated value of more than $20,000.
The boys also are accused of a series of street sign thefts. Numerous other juveniles were questioned during the investigation and some of them also may be charged with crimes.
