LAIC Receives No Funding From County For 2009

LAIC Executive Director Dwaine Chapel told the Madison City Commission Monday night that the LAIC will receive no funding from the county for 2009, citing financial hardships. Chapel then presented the LAIC Budget request to the city in the amount of $140,000.00, stating the funding will be used this year to help with the industrial park and other items. Chapel went on to say that the LAIC is in favor of a community event's center for the city as well.
