City Commission To Formally Request State DOT To Install Street Lights

Tonight the Madison City Commission will formally request that the state Department of Transportation install streetlights along highway 34 east to the city limits. The commission, in a letter to the DOT state that the city is willing to help with the cost of the installation as well as maintenance and care of the lights after they are installed.

Other items on tonight's agenda include review of a right of way easement request from East River Electric and discussion of the city wide picnic on August 5th.
