One Killed In Crash on Highway 19

A crash on highway 19, just south of the highway 34 intersection, has claimed the life of a Madison resident. Leonard Olinger of Madison was killed Tuesday when the Ford F-150 pickup he was driving, collided head on with a semi-truck. Lieutenant Alan Welsh of the South Dakota Highway Patrol says Olinger's truck entered the South bound lane of the Highway.

The accident occurred just south of 235th street. The driver of the semi-truck received minor injuries to his shoulder, and refused transport to the hospital.

The the investigation into the accident is still ongoing. Lieutenant Welsh says both drivers were wearing their seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
