Parent Advisory Committee Could Call It Quits
Posted on Friday, October 5, 2007
Once a month the Madison Parent Advisory Committee meets to discuss issues like curriculum, fine arts, graduation requirements, and prom along with a number of at issue topics. But, lately, nobody has been showing up at the meetings, which is why the committee is considering disbanding. Madison Central High School Principal Sharon Knowlton says the meetings are a good chance for her to sit down and get feedback from parents on all sorts of topics. Since its creation 2-years ago, the parent advisory committee has been open to every parent of a MHS student, but if the next meeting is not well attended, Knowlton says the group is considering calling it quits. One more meeting will be held on Monday October 15th at 7PM in the high school board room, discussions will be held at that time about the future of the committee.
