Lake County Commission Met Tuesday

The Lake County Commission met Tuesday in Madison for a regularly scheduled meeting. During the meeting they discussed several topics including approval of funding for new equipment for county offices and approval of new hires.

They approved the purchase of new equipment for the 911-dispatch center. The equipment will be upgrades to what the dispatch center is currently using. Also approved was funding for new security cameras at the dispatch center. Two cameras and two monitors will be purchased. The commission also approved the updates of two FCC licenses for the dispatch center at $300 each.

The commission also heard an update on the cost estimate for new printing equipment at the Register of Deeds office. The estimate was $1,890 with a $5 a month fee for a new Internet phone line. The commission chose to wait for another expected estimate before deciding on approval.

The Lake County Commission also approved the hire of Deb Blanchett in the county assessors office. Blanchett will start work on August 29th.
